Anyone still using LML Repair Shops for ticketing? Worth switching?

Nina K.Laptop & Phone Hub2 answers

I'm currently using LML Repair Shops for our ticketing system, but I've been hearing a lot about newer alternatives lately. While LML has served us well, I feel like it might be time to explore options that could streamline our workflow even further. Specifically, I'm curious about features that help with parts ordering and customer communication. Has anyone made the switch from LML to another software? What are the practical pros and cons you've experienced? I'm particularly interested in how user-friendly the interface is and if the cost really justifies the transition. Any insights from fellow shop owners would be greatly appreciated!

I switched from LML to a different ticketing system about a year ago, and I couldn't be happier. The new software has a much more intuitive interface, which has made onboarding my staff so much easier. One of the standout features is the parts integration — it connects directly with our suppliers, allowing us to order parts right from the ticket without switching systems. Plus, their customer communication tools have saved us a lot of time. Overall, I think the investment was worth it, especially since it streamlined our workflow significantly.

I've been using LML for a while and while it has its quirks, it does have a solid ticketing system. I haven't switched primarily due to the cost of migrating data and training staff on a new platform. If you're managing a smaller shop, it might still be worth sticking with LML for now. It gets the job done and has reliable support. Just weigh the costs versus potential benefits before making a move.
