Average screen repair price in Boston?

Devon C.BenchWorks Denver2 answers

As a repair shop owner in Boston, I'm trying to gauge what others are charging for average screen repairs. I've noticed some fluctuation in prices around town, and I want to ensure I'm competitive while still covering my costs. For example, I usually charge $150 for an iPhone 11 screen replacement, but I’ve seen some shops go as low as $120. What are you all charging, and how do you determine your prices? Do you factor in the cost of parts, labor, and any additional overhead? Also, do you adjust prices based on your customer base? Any insight on the average price trends in the Boston area would be really helpful. Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!

Hey! In my shop, we typically charge around $160 for an iPhone 11 screen replacement. I base my pricing on a few factors: the cost of the parts, which I source from reliable suppliers like iFixit and Mobile Defenders, and the demand in our area. I also keep an eye on what competitors are doing, but I find that having a solid reputation and providing excellent customer service allows us to maintain a bit of a premium. For workflow, I use RepairShopr to keep track of our repairs and customer interactions. It helps us manage pricing and make adjustments based on market trends. Pricing is a balancing act, but I think being a little higher can work if you're providing good service. Hope this helps!

Hi there! I charge about $140 for the same screen repair. I usually get my parts from wholesalers, but I’ve found that sourcing from local suppliers can sometimes reduce shipping costs and turnaround time. I also watch the local market closely; if I see others dropping prices, I might consider offering a promotional deal instead of permanently lowering my rates. Another thing I do is ask customers about their previous experiences with repair shops. This can give you some insight into what they value, which can inform your pricing structure. Good luck with your shop!
