PS5 HDMI port keeps failing after replacement — what am I missing?
Third console this month where the customer says no signal after a few days. Port looks clean under the scope, pads seem fine, I'm using flux and low melt. Could this be a short elsewhere on the board or am I just getting bad port batches?

Check the retimer chip and the caps around the port — we've had two that looked like bad ports but were actually damaged retimers from customers yanking cables. Also stress-test with a wiggle test before you close the ticket; intermittent joints show up fast.
